How to Self Improve Using Affirmations

Billions of people, perhaps you included, recognize the need and even hunger to gain greater control of the mind. Our subconscious mind helps to feed us with propositions, suggestions, thought patterns and trigger dreams and day dreams. Our mind is a powerful tool but can be lead by our subconscious mind. If we can improve the signals that our subconscious mind provides us, we'll be better prepared for success, especially if those are positive feeds. Positive affirmations are statements which reflect your goals and dreams in life, whether that be about health, wealth, love or relationships.

Every technique for success of the mind will employ a system of affirmations. Whichever article or book you read, affirmations play a big part. Instead of getting a feeling of doubt, fear, shame, lethargy and many other negative thoughts, your subconscious mind should be feeding you with positives.

Fear is a very big topic and can hold you back from exploring many aspects of life. If we could manage that fear with positive thoughts rather than thoughts that feed and multiply that fear, we must be onto advancement rather than mediocrity.

When a person is mentally limited, they may find that they are unable to complete a task or goal that they are aiming for. Whether this is career progression, overcoming money problems or even passing a driving test; being able to understand and achieve your full potential can be difficult.

Affirmations... They are a great tool to re-program your unconscious mind and free it from negative thought patterns.

Overcoming our mental negative-ness will improve our life and starts to plot a brighter future. No more doubt, no more fear, our energy is renewed and our attitude is improved. All of which are the characteristics of a successful person, which can be given an injection by affirmation enhancement.

Without setting clear goals on which to model your success and aim towards, it is hard to ever unlock your potential that you have unveiled through the process of affirmation. In order to create an abundance of resources for yourself, you will have to decide the level on which you wish to scale your wealth creation and when it is time to decide you have made enough money.

Affirmations can work for anyone... The reason you use affirmations is to reprogram your brain, beliefs, and habits or attachments to negative beliefs and behaviors so you get the outcomes you desire, want or need.

For those who have never fully understood the purpose of Affirmations may connect to the word - self-sabotage. What in actual fact self-sabotage means in this situation, is to allow the subconscious mind to feed us with ideas that are untrue, but nonetheless for strange reasons we follow such direction.

There is more to life than you are presently experiencing. Something deep inside you has told you that you have a choice. Doing nothing different… means nothing different will happen in your life. Changing a few simple thought patterns and success is yours.

This link between attitude and outcome is well supported by medical and scientific research. Affirmations are not just a fad, but supported by scientific research.

It does not matter which aspect of life you choose to examine, health, relationships, prosperity, a positive attitude is a key factor in success. "I have done great work today that will advance my career" – not "I hope I get something right today otherwise I’ll lose my job"

We need to turn our attention to understanding our own inner talk.

Self Motivation and the Benefits of Affirmations

What holds you back from achieving your dreams—or even daring to take them seriously? The first step toward success is self-motivation. There are a number of ways to help support the journey toward its accomplishment.

It may not be easy to accept this, that we find otherwise quiet and retiring people jump from having nothing to experiencing abundance through the power of affirmations.

Affirmations open up your mind to possibilities. Anything that may have been previously out of your grasp, comes within touching distance. But first you need to believe it is possible. What an affirmation actually does is to change your own perceptions and attitude towards yourself. Instead of being a useless person you can become the most valued in your profession, family or neighbourhood.

Affirmations will unblock those previous barriers that have held you back. Brick walls become doors, high hurdles become small steps and huge ravines start to have their own bridges.

As a result of derogative and demeaning comments when we were children, these statements are sometimes carried through our life and subsequently they prevent us from achieving our dreams. If you can admit that this is true and such comments have being taken into adulthood then you must also see the flipside of that. Using affirmations lay those early comments to bed and allow the new 'positive affirmations' to take over and become more prominent in your mind.

5 Steps to Positively Affirm your Affirmations

1. Repetition is the first step in making affirmations work for you.

2. Getting More Involved in affirmations helps the dialogue in your sub-conscious mind to cement them with both affection and assurance

3. Affirmations enpower... But you must take regular action to affirm your potential.

4. Believe... Belief is important as a 'positive' affirmation means more than a half hearted statement.

5. Resistance is natural. Affirmations can see results in hours, days, weeks and months. the more resistance to your affirmation the longer it will take to manifest

Affirmations are also called self-talk, self-suggestions, attitude control, personal reminders, or simply talking to yourself. An affirmation is a statement that describes a goal in its already completed state.

The word affirmation is redirected from a Latin word ‘affirmare’, which means ‘to assert.’ In layman terms, it means it is the declaration that assures something is true.

Replace the Negative with the Positive. The purpose of the affirmation is to repeatedly tap into the subconscious mind for eventual positive and sustained change to achieve one’s desired result.

Affirmations Will Change Your Thinking if you Allow... Opening up your mind will allow a new education. Keeping your mind closed will mean you carry on as normal. The fact that you are reading this means you are contemplating opening your mind.

Crafting good, effective affirmations is not rocket science.

When using affirmations, they should connect with as many of the senses as possible. In your mental experience and affirmation suggestions visit these senses one by one while repeating the same suggestion. Make sure your affirmation references are made and refer to the present moment. In essence, affirmations should always be accompanied by a mental image or visualization of your desire to the extent possible.

Visualize and Repeat, Over and Over... That doesn’t mean every few seconds. That doesn’t mean get down to some ‘hard work’. It means allow it to come to mind and repeat as and when you so desire.

How can Afirmations Help Me!?

Many people think that the way you change your life is by changing your thinking. Many people instead think that once they get the success that they desire, then will be able to be positive and think thoughts of success.

Affirming positive thoughts using positive affirmations dramatically improves life outcomes. Think negative and your life will be negative. Think positive and your life will be a success.

Affirmations help to print within your sub-conscious mind that positive is better than negative.

How to Understand the Power of Affirmations

Affirmations and Can They Really Help?

What Do Affirmations Really Mean?

Positive affirmations are powerful tools to help you manifest what you desire into your life. Everything that exists is made up of energy in the form of radiating wavelengths. The denser the form, a rock for example, the lower the energy levels, at the other end of the spectrum there exists things that have high levels of energy. These high energy level forms are things like light, colors, and thoughts.

Yes, thoughts!

Have you ever had a day off work and did a lot of thinking, and then found at the end of the day you was exhausted? On a day you hoped was for rest, it tired you out just by thinking.

So if you ever needed confirmation that thoughts were powerful, then they can tire you out. If we flipped that scenario slightly, if thoughts can reduce your energy, we must therefore have thoughts that can fill you with energy.

Expanding on that theory that thoughts give us energy, we must consider what out thoughts can project onto others. If we are sad for example and enter a room with happy people, we can sometimes see their happiness subside as my sadness energy over powers their happiness energy. That can also work the other way. Should I walk into a room bounding with happiness the other people’s energy may try to over power mine but invariably if the energy is positive, my happiness will flow through the room.

So if we can see first that thoughts alone are powerful, we can begin to understand where affirmations sit into this system of using energy to empower our life.

Thoughts, when focused on and combined with passion, in time, are manifested into reality. That is the power of positive affirmation, it is the repeated reading of a statement or thought that gets into the sub-conscious mind and radiates from us to attract the necessary means to bring forth that thought into reality.

Affirmations are simply statements that we make to ourselves; it's our self-talk. You use affirmations all the time, whether you're doing so intentionally or unintentionally.

Successful people think successful thoughts. They know that entertaining thoughts of failure and defeat is a waste of time. Successful people think of future possibilities, not of past set backs.

Affirm What is True in Your Heart

Your happiness depends on your thoughts. Negative thoughts can make your insecure, depressed and emotionally unavailable as a partner, parent or friend.

Subliminal therapy is not new. It's practically all around us-in the TV, in the billboards, at the height of an intense basketball game. Its signs are very varied, from the continuous onslaught of a particular brand, to the nice words you repeat to yourself, or the idealized image of a winning form you play in your mind during a game. Some people get by with calling it just plain positive thinking. But those who know that most of the time, the human mind misses 80% of its actual potential AND can terribly attain much much more, have a name for what they need-positive affirmation.

Affirmations are positive statements that describe a desired situation, and which are repeated many times, in order to impress the subconscious mind and trigger it into positive action. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the affirmations, they have to be repeated with attention, conviction, interest and desire.

The most usual method recommended for affirmations is first to still the mind and the body, (most of the techniques recommended for this come directly or indirectly from eastern meditation practices) and then to repeat the chosen affirmation or affirmations. They work best worded in the first person, in the present tense and in a positive structure. ('I like weeds' not 'I won't mind the weeds'). Affirmations should be believable. Affirm that you are capable of doubling your income, rather than affirming that you are capable of making it multiply ten times. And affirmations should be said in an emotional frame of positive expectancy and excitement.

The key elements are positive expectation, belief and daily repetition.

Here we can see that the process of affirmation draws on elements of meditation and mantra, and combines them with the daily repetition of prayer and other practices, and that both affirmation and prayer lay strong emphasis on belief. The Lord's Prayer could be seen as a spiritual affirmation.

More than often, people repeat in their minds negative words and statements concerning the situations and events in their lives, and consequently bring upon themselves undesirable situations. Words and statements work both ways, to build or destroy. It is the way we use them that determines whether they are going to bring good or harmful results.

Quote:

“Every thought has a counterpart in a word or sound; the word and the thought are inseparable. The external part of a thing is what we may call the thought. The same thought may be expressed by different words or sounds. Though the sounds vary, yet the relation between the sound and the thoughts is a natural one”. (Swami Nikhilananda  Sri Ramakrishna Math:)

To affirm means to make firm. There is very little mystery about how and why affirmations work, once the principle is understood. An affirmation is simply a spoken declaration, in the present tense, which creates a desired reality.

Affirm what you know to be true in your heart, and you will create that reality. Affirm that you are free, and strong, and attractive, and prosperous, and loving – and you will find, often in a remarkably short time, that your outer world will begin to change as a reflection of your changing inner consciousness.

A Positive Mindset = Positive Affirmations

Turbo-Charge Your Affirmations, Develop Positive Thinking So You Can Eliminate Stress From Your Life, Skyrocket Your Self-Confidence and Program Yourself For Lifetime Success!

Developing a positive mindset is one of the most powerful life strategies there is. Using powerful positive thinking techniques, visualizations and positive affirmations, it is possible to achieve whatever you want.

The idea behind these techniques is pretty simple. Most of us grow up learning to put ourselves down for any real or imagined error. We grow up believing certain things about ourselves or comparing ourselves negatively to others.

Affirmations are statements of acceptance that one uses to allow the manifestation of your destiny.  They are powerful and positive thoughts and statements sent out to the universe.  To do positive affirmations, you need to eliminate the negativity around you. You must first believe that YOU CAN manifest your destiny.

Affirmations encourage you to think about good things rather than to think negatively. They help you focus on your strengths and can increase your confidence. By thinking positively you're more likely to get what you want and solve any problems.

Spend a few minutes thinking of what you regard as negative aspects of your personality. Go away now for five or ten minutes and write a list of any and all things that could be considered as negative about yourself. Once you’re got your list, on a new blank sheet create a list of all the positive things.

Look at the lists and realize you are neither wholly despicable nor entirely admirable. You are both these things and these two facets of your personally create the entire self.

This concept has grown increasingly popular due to the publishing phenomenon of Rhonda Byrne's The Secret (also a 2006 film) and The Law of Attraction series by Esther Hicks and Jerry Hicks. These books and teachers express similar ideas to Napoleon Hill's classic, Think and Grow Rich. Byrne was inspired in particular by New Thought pioneer Wallace D. Wattles' 1910 book The Science of Getting Rich.

If you have ever thought about why some people are successful in life and others live out their lives in failure. If you've ever wanted to be one of those people who lives’ their dreams, the answer is must be to have some structure in your life, such a structure that will foster a positive mental attitude.

The POWER of Affirmations will create wealth, success, romance, help you lose weight, build self-confidence, develop positive thinking - anything you want. It will also help you find your true calling, give your life meaning and allow you to have inner peace as you accomplish your goals. But in order to get the most out of life you must first understand how your incredible creating powers work.

How to Use Affirmations Effectively

How to Use Affirmations Effectively

There is a science that deals with manifesting desires. Many people regard it as mystical or esoteric, but it's actually a science like physics or algebra.

There are certain immutable laws that govern the process of materializing wishes seemingly out of thin air, and once these laws are complied with, anyone can make their dreams a reality -- with absolute certainty.

Does this sound far-fetched?

If so, I need you to suspend your disbelief until you hear the whole story because I assure you -- this will be positively electrifying.

Emile Coué, the 19th century French professor and Master Hypnotist, became a pioneer of affirmation techniques -- curing hundreds of patients in Europe and North America by teaching his patients to repeat the following affirmation each morning and evening:

"Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better."

Using this affirmation alone, the healing results were nothing less than spectacular.

A BBC Report suggests this about our subject … (Courtesy of the BBC) Affirmations, Visualisations and Self-improvement: Where it gets interesting is when we move away from spiritual practice and look at the self-improvement movement which has become so popular in the 20th and 21st Centuries. Early writers within the self-help movement were Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie. The original focus was on development of character and moral qualities as a human being, and on material success and achievement. The techniques which worked were adapted by sports people, and there is a loosely symbiotic relationship today between people coaching success in sport, business and in personal contexts. The two techniques which became standards are daily affirmation, and visualization.

Anthony Robbins said, "By repeating an affirmation over and over again, it becomes embedded in the subconscious mind, and eventually becomes your reality. That is why you need to be careful what you think and believe, because that is exactly what you will get!"

Affirmations have long been recognized as a powerful tool in manifesting desires. That's because the subconscious mind cannot differentiate between actual reality and suggestions. Therefore, it processes suggestions (or affirmations) as being real -- and goes about using its powerful creative ability -- and that of the nervous system -- to actualize those affirmations.

For this reason, people from all walks of life -- from athletic coaches, to sales professionals, to religious leaders, and peak performance experts (like Anthony Robbins) promote the practice of affirmations.

Subliminal Technology Puts Manifestation on "Steroids"

In the 1950s, an advertising expert named James Vicary, started testing subliminal advertising in movie theaters. He inserted subliminal frames containing the words, "EAT POPCORN" and "DRINK COKE" within the reels of film. During the movie, the subliminal messages went by so fast that the unsuspecting audience didn't consciously see the words, but their subconscious minds perceived the suggestions. As a result, Coke sales jumped 18.1% and popcorn sales skyrocketed by 57.7%.

Goal setting software Subliminal advertising proved to be too powerful that it was eventually outlawed. But what if you could use the same technology to install empowering affirmations into your subconscious -- beneath the threshold of your conscious mind? Now, you can flash subliminal messages on your computer screen while you work! It's like advertising to your own subconscious mind and having your desires manifest at an unprecedented speed.
